I was surprised.

Today, I was surprised at a difference between Japan and countries whose nations speak English.

I learned a word "connive".
It has two means.
One is pretending not to watch any crimes.
Another is helping someone to do crime.

In Japan, adults tell children that these two things are same, and actually they are considered to be almost same.
But in English, They are contained in a same word, and they are completely same.

It seems that they are treated as same in English.
